From Christmas tree brownies to melting snowman cookies, we’ve rounded up our favourite Christmas recipes. You can even use our bottles to make them too!

Our favourite Christmas baking recipes

Christmas is one of the best times of the year for us bakers. It’s a time to get super creative with our bakes and experiment with all kinds of festive decorations. 

We’ve rounded up some of our favourite recipes, all illustrated with some of our very own bakes - check ‘em out 👇

Christmas tree brownies

Christmas Tree Brownies - Christmas baking recipes

For the brownies you’ll need…

To turn them into Christmas trees you’ll need…

  • 1x pack of candy canes or chocolate fingers
  • 125g icing sugar 
  • 1 egg (just using the egg white)
  • Stars or hundred and thousands to decorate

Method

Baking the brownies

  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees (conventional oven), 170 degrees (for fan oven) or gas mark 5
  • Line your tin with baking parchment
  • Mix all of the ingredients together in a mixing bowl until a smooth batter is formed
  • Pour the mix into your lined tin and bake for 25-30 minutes
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool

How to cut brownie into triangles - Christmas baking recipes

  • Firstly, cut your brownie in half horizontally, cutting triangles in each half just like we have above 👆
  • Once, you’ve got your triangles, drizzle icing over each brownie diagonally, creating a Christmas tree look
  • Add any decorations you’d like such as sprinkles or stars - anything that will look like your little Christmas trees have been decorated!
  • Finally, to create the trunk of the tree, use a candy cane or even a chocolate finger, popping it through the centre of the triangle brownie

Melting snowman cookies

Melting snowmen cookies - Christmas baking recipes

For the cookies you’ll need…

To make your melting snowmen you’ll need… 

  • 1x pack of marshmallows
  • 1x pack of mini pretzels
  • 1x sugar carrots (or you can use an orange icing pen)
  • Googly eyes 
  • 125g icing sugar
  • 1 egg (just using the egg white)

Method

Baking the cookies

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (conventional oven), 160 degrees (for fan oven) or gas mark 4
  • Lay greaseproof paper on your trays
  • Mix all of your ingredients into a bowl until you’ve formed a smooth ball of dough
  • Divide the dough into 20-35 balls, 3cm each and place them evenly on your baking trays
  • Press them lightly with a fork and bake in the oven for 12-14 minutes until golden
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool

How to make the melted snowmen

  • Spread your icing over the cookie to make it look like a puddle of snow
  • Pop a marshmallow on the cookie for the head and attach the googly eyes using the royal icing
  • Push the carrot nose into the marshmallow (as you would a real snowman!) or draw on the nose using an orange icing pen
  • Break your pretzels in half and use them as the snowman's arms
  • Finally, use some round sprinkles for the snowman’s buttons

For the cupcakes you’ll need…

To make the Christmas trees you’ll need…

  • 300g icing sugar (for the buttercream)
  • 150g butter (for the buttercream)
  • Green food colouring
  • Edible decorative stars
  • 1x pack of straight pretzels or chocolate fingers

Method

Baking the cupcakes

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (conventional oven), 170 degrees (for fan oven) or gas mark 5
  • Pop your cupcake cases on your baking tray
  • Mix all of your ingredients into a bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy
  • Spoon the mixture into each cupcake case, so they’re around ⅓ full
  • Bake for 20-23 minutes
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool

Creating the Christmas trees

  • Stick your straight pretzel or chocolate finger through the centre of the cupcake - this will secure the structure for your piped tree 
  • Using a piping bag, pipe the green icing over the top, layering the frosting to create a tree shape
  • Decorate with sprinkles, stars - anything that’ll make your trees look festive!
  • Finish off your cupcakes by popping a star-shaped sprinkle on top of the icing

Reindeer cookies

For the cookies you’ll need…

To make the reindeer faces you’ll need…

  • 1x pack of miniature pretzels
  • 1x pack of chocolate buttons 
  • Googly eyes
  • 1x tube of smarties (for the red noses)
  • 125g icing sugar
  • 1 egg (using just the egg white)

Method

Baking the cookies

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (conventional oven), 160 degrees (for fan oven) or gas mark 4
  • Lay greaseproof paper on your trays
  • Mix all of your ingredients into a bowl until you’ve formed a smooth ball of dough
  • Chill in the fridge for 20 minutes
  • Divide the dough into 20-35 balls, 3cm each and place them evenly on your baking trays
  • Press them lightly with a fork and bake in the over for 14-16 minutes until golden
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool

Creating the reindeer faces

  • Pop two pretzels at the top of the cookie for the reindeer’s ears, attaching each with icing sugar
  • Use chocolate buttons and edible googly eyes, again attaching both with icing sugar
  • For the reindeer’s nose, we used red smarties but you could use a glacier cherry or even a red fruit pastille - it’s up to you!

Christmas pudding muffins

Christmas pudding muffins - Christmas baking recipes

(We actually used some leftovers from our Santa Winter Wondercake Mix for these so you can do the same or even better, make some muffins…)

For the muffins you’ll need…

For the decorations you’ll need…

  • White fondant icing
  • Holly sprinkles - we used these from Waitrose

Method

Baking the muffins

  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees (conventional oven), 180 degrees (for fan oven) or gas mark 5
  • Pop your cupcake cases on your baking tray
  • Mix all of your ingredients into a bowl until a smooth batter is formed
  • Spoon the mixture into each case, until they’re ¾ full
  • Bake for 16-18 minutes until golden brown
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool

Decorating the muffins like little Christmas puds

  • You’ll want to use white fondant icing for decorating, so you can sculpt the icing for each muffin
  • Simply pop the holly leaves and berries on top of each muffin and ta-da! You’ve got some lovely little muffins which look like mini Christmas puds!
